The Bislimi Group Foundation applied for a student mobility grant from the Department for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Government of Canada, in January 2010. The objective of the Student Mobility program of DFAIT is to support the creation of linkages between foreign students and Canada and to enhance the understanding of Canada abroad. In March 2010, TBG Foundation was notified that its proposal was successful and that DFAIT would support its implementation. The Canada Education for Peace Initiative (CEPI) 2010, which will be administered and implemented by the foundation, is a study tour program offering four or five exceptional Kosovar students the opportunity to spend a few weeks in the Halifax area of Nova Scotia, Canada during this summer. Selected students will learn about Canadian multiculturalism, Canadian way of life and education system. The foundation is also currently working to enable the participating students to attend a course (audit) at one of Canada's leading universities located in Halifax. Through a combination of resources provided by TBG Foundation, DFAIT, and the Albanian Canadian Community Association in Halifax, Nova Scotia, we hope to cover the expenses related to this program for all student participants. TBG Foundation wishes to publicly acknowledge and appreciate the DFAIT support for the CEPI 2010. Please note that more information on the activities of the program, application and selection procedures, etc., will be made available soon on the CEPI 2010 page.
